Second Meet of Rishabam!!!

Hi Rishabians..cheers!!!

The RISHABAM team met at our house on 8th november '08 for the second time.
Our first meet was for a lesser duration of around 2hours. This meet was for full 5 hours!

What an evening it was!!

It all started on a devotional note with a shloka..aptly rendered by Deeya.
Then our another young participant Prateek cameout with 2 songs backtoback...has gud sense of rhythm.

Then it was the turn of Raghu who made everyone sway with his favourite Rafi's no...'Suhaani raat dal chuki..' Mahendra showed his talent in rendering 'Naliva gulabi hoove..'

If Chitra cameout with a surprise foot tapping no.'Babuji dheere chalna..', Rekha made everyone dance to her tune..'Jawane janeman..'. Lakshmi presented the tamil no.'Unnai kanaadha kannum...' with gud feel and Josphine was so sweet in her 'Chinna chinna asai'

I rendered my favourite 'Teri pyari pyari..' and 'Ye lo main haari piya..'

In between came in some chips, biscuits, tea and fanta.. and not to forget the hot, crispy vadas, bhajjis and bondas!!! I could see how each one was feeling at home...serving others, helping themselves...nice to have such wonderful friends around.

It was an amazing musical evening with each and everyone belting out wonderful songs without any qualms one after the other!!

Hemanth sang his heart out in 'Namoora mandara hoove..' and so did Rangu in 'kalangalil..'
'Hamein tumse pyaar..'by Thamman was nothing less compared to our John's'Yaad na jaaye'

Venkat was amazing in his rendition of 'Chahunga main tuje..' and who could ever forget Ganesh's 'Rajaraja chozhan..'?
John's 'Mere naina..' was a superb solo. Saravanan did complete justice to 'Kadhal Rojave..'

Nagraj's 'Jab koi baath' with Rekha was very entertaining. Johnson,Meenakshi did their bit fantastically in the duets. Kirthana's Ajeeb Dastaan.. was pretty good and flawlessly sung. Raksha smilingly sang the classical no.'Mamavathu..'

My mom (Swarnam),Sunil,Jagadish and others may not have sung, but they were there enjoying the songs thoroughly...Yes, we do need peole who encourage us...

We terribly missed Rajat and family..who would have added more enthu into the evening.
What was more heartening was that the kids behaved so well & enjoyed the program as well!

Jeevan,Shreya were good too in their own way and each one enjoyed to the fullest.
One could sense the feel when everyone shouted 'hurray' at the end of the day.

Everything seems to be wonderful and the thoughts of the meet keeps coming back often.
We will see to it that we continue to have more of these meets for long long time ahead!!

I will shortly post the list of songs we all sang that evening.
Will inform about the video of our meet once it is ready.

Do definitely write your genuine views, ideas about this program and also if any other suggestions for the coming programs in the place provided for 'comments'.
Waiting for your valuable comments!!

HEY RISHABIANS, YOU ROCKED !!!
KEEP ROCKING !!!
