Updating about our earlier meets...!!

The Fifth Rishabam meet was hosted by Raghu on 10th January 2010.
The evening was awesome filled with good music and snacks...having it on the terrace of his house was an awesome thought...which added to the style of the music meet!!

Lets see how we were invited sweetly and how some of us felt about the evening:

Hi Friends

I am planning to organize the next Rishabam meet in my house on Jan 10th Sunday from 3pm - 7pm
It will be an open air event on the terrace of my house and so please bring sweaters just in case it gets cold - Also pray that the rain gods do not play spoilsport
Looklng forward to meeting you all on Jan 10th to welcome the new year with a bang!
Let us choose some songs of Vishnuvardhan and C. Ashwath to pay our tributes to them - we lost two big artists yesterday and it is indeed a big loss to Karnataka

As everybody noticed for sure, a lot of our group members have become very good singers now - Rishabam is really helping all become much better singers - it is very obvious that people come only after practising at home.


Some highlights
1) My mom has become a fan of Mahendra for singing the C. Ashwath song "tara valla taagi ninna tumbari"
2) My sister sang a couple of her favorite songs for Rishabam - My father too had a great time singing "yennadi rakamma "
3) I was apprehensive about hosting such an event and it turned out to be much easier than I thought - Everyone should try it out at least once - Now there are more people with experience to guide and help
4) My family members had a great time and thanks to you all
5) we all had a great time as well [ as usual ]
6) My co-brother Raghu has become a fan of Rishabam and he is a great guy - He can identify all ragas and is also a violin player [ besides mouth organ]
7) Sridhar's compering skills are unmatched [again as usual ]

sure I have missed out a few more highlights which you can fill in...
Overall it was a great experience and a great evening
