Updating about our earlier meets...!!

RISHABAM MEET--6 !!

Rishabam met for the 6th time in style hosted awesomely by Rekha the singing sensation!!
Music meet with difference...hosted at home and on terrace!! Total rocking time!!

Interesting comments and views of the meet by rishabians:
Thank you Rekha and William for hosting a wonderful Rishabam event combined with your daughter's birthday party.

This party rocked big time
As you must all be noticing, our group is getting a bigger audience every time we do our get together - we are all doing something right !! Our core team continues to belt out good numbers ! Our Rishabam program host Sridhar is getting better and better making everyone feel important and appreciated.
Mahendra is gradually moving from PBS to SPB [ just rearranging the alphabets ] and now, he sings with attitude !!! making eyecontacts and hand movements !!! this is what is called confidence.
Praveen and chidambar were simply awesome - they are very passionate about singing which is clearly evident
Ganesh who sang " amma en ... " was a treat to hear
In my opinion, one of the most improved singer from Rishabam was Rangu - his rendition of "ae ajnabee" was flawless and caught everyone's attention - it was a brillaiant performance and left everyone stunned.
the most brave performance and a good one too was that of Srinivas - He sang with a " I can do it" attitude and his confidence in singing the high pitched Rafi song was obvious for everyone to see - I am sure his performance will inspire a lot of people who still don't believe in themselves. Srinivas was the surprise package of the evening - hope to hear more from him in the next event
I persoanally liked this duet " Ee sambhashane" by Sridhar and Priya - it is easily one of the most melodius numbers in Kannada
Just to be different, I too tried my hand at singing Kishore numbers which I feel I can improve quite a bit - but I wanted to know for myself if I can even try it - Rishabam gives that opportunity and I appreciate that
Rekha is effortless in her singing and the strain of high pitch does not show on her face [ unlike most of us ] - it comes with practise and we should incorporate that.
Chitra was at her usual best singing some good Latha Numbers while Priya gave her favourite foot tapping Geetha Dutt numbers to the audience
Some of the Tamil numbers by ganesh, lakshmi, priya and sridhar were very melodius - the old timers were reminded of MGR quite a bit - They listened, enjoyed and spoke about it with passion
Krishna also sang very well - his "pehla pehla pyar hai" was appreciated very much by the people
Special thanks to Sridhar in making audience very participative and involved - especially Rekha's grandmother who sang so beautifully.
I am not sure I commented on all but overall lots of happy faces left that event which is the most important thing that Rishabam provides !!!
If I have missed out anything, I am sure others will add.
Letz keep it rocking guys !!!

Venkat replied this way...
Dear Raghu,
You have said it all. I appreciate you for covering all the aspects. As you rightly said Rishabams' performance is really a improved one. While there is a scope for improvement, which are being learnt in every meet, this one is really a belting performance by Rishabam.
This could be possible due to the mood of the day, quality of sound system, knowledgeable audience and above all a lovely host by Rekha and Willi. Their hospitality was superb. Delicious food throughout. A fitting birthday bash to dear Diya.
I too agree with you that Srini's performance was a surprise one and Ranghu's "ae ajnabee" was simply outstanding.
A big kudos to each and every member of Rishabam team for their outstanding performance. Praveen, Ganesh and Chidambar are good additions to Rishabam and we need to learn a lot from them. I simply love Rekha's ajji and her entire family and friends for appreciating us.
Just waiting to meet u guys soon.
cheers,
Venkat, Priya & KK

Raghu yet again added:
Lets correct Rekha's email id so that she can also see all these emails:

Suggestion for the next meet:
Can we all try to sing some new songs? something that will reflect the age we feel [ not what we are ]
Let us not completely stop old songs because they are way too good to be forgotten but let us also try to sing songs of the present generation
Like what we are all doing, let us set our standards higher and try to achieve them.
I met John and he regretted the fact that he could not make it since he had to take Mary for her regular checkup - they are expecting their baby next month and best wishes to them from all of Rishabam family !!
